I see this in every software i use but have no idea how it works. I want to make many different pics with transparent backgrounds than place them one on top of each other, but do not know how to. Could anyone please explain to me.

Adjust the Opacity for transparency.

Adjust the Opacity for transparency.

No....that's not what he asked. He wanted a new layer that had a transparent background to it.

They all appear in the picture, unless you make any one of them invisible (clicking the eye). You edit each layer like you edit the background. Think of it as 3 pictures in one that come together as one picture, but you can edit each one separately and do whatever you want to them without distorting the other pictures.

I don't think I could have made it much simpler than I did. Layers are not hard to understand at all.

- What else could "talk you through" the process mean? -
bobo- Teamspeak is a program that allows two individuals or more to SPEAK to one another via an internet connection. As I said, this would allow one to "talk" you through the process of excecuting layers. In many cases, it is much easier & efficient than all of us trying to teach you via the text forum. An art lesson is not my intention, but I can talk you through the technical aspect of making layers & then let your artistic imagination run free.
Actually, that's just a front - I wanna whisper sweet nothings in your ear... Wink
