the only server with ppl on it is allout.co.uk.... only fucking n00bs are on here, wtf is happening, it seems like Renegade ended tonight.

Once the first public beta of a CnC mod comes out for HL2, I'll get it. But I won't stop playing Renegade until Blackhand Studios goes out, if they ever do.

Around the time Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 were released, Renegade lost approximately 6,000 ranked players. 19,593 still remain. Renegade didn't get hurt that badly by those two great releases, I'm surprised.

...In fact, they might not of hurt it at all, this could just be a bad month.

Let's take this moment to compare Half-Life 2 / Half-Life 2: Death Match / Counter-Strike: Source to Renegade.

Okay, there is no comparrison what-so-ever. The graphics in Renegade sucks. The gameplay now sucks. It sucks.

On the other hand. Half-Life 2 was awsome. "Best graphics ever" (it has this award). Half-Life 2: Death Match, very fun, great addon. Counter-Strike: Source, not only is Counter-Strike the most played Multiplayer game ever, it now has the best graphics I've possibly ever seen (with everything on full, of course).

I'm sorry to say, but I think Renegade has come to it's final weeks/months. Next summer, I predict no-one will be playing Renegade.

Hmmm maybe crimson can write an email to EA convincing them to release renegade as a free donwloadable game for christmas. Smile

I would do it but my word in this community means very little compared to Crimson.

That would indeed brings tons more players (The ones that have never bothered to buy it would surley see it on fileplanet) and we might get a larger community. All in all it would give the game more time and it would promote people to play the mods going to half life 2.

EA would rather see Renegade rot in obscurity than release the game as a free downloadable game. Wouldn't that mean they'd have to allocate more precious tech support time to a game they hate only because they didn't think of it first?

ROFL, nice explaination wezel. I too agree with his thoery, if they havent even released Tiberian Dawn (full version) as a free downloadable, whats the chances of Renegade. EA will attempt to suck every last revenue from Renegade through their Ren/RA2/TS Pack until its crippled and desolate like the parasitic leaches they are.

Allout.co.uk isn't the only server with people on it. :rolleyes: There are the FanMaps servers and St0rmhost servers.

Don't tell me your playing on the European server, because that server sucks.

EU server is as good as "dead" yes, but there are still about about 500 players (that's what RG says) playing every day on USA and gayspy.

For a game that old, it's not to few.

Edit: 500 that use RG, now + all those non-RG users = ...?
