Once the first public beta of a CnC mod comes out for HL2, I'll get it. But I won't stop playing Renegade until Blackhand Studios goes out, if they ever do.

Around the time Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 were released, Renegade lost approximately 6,000 ranked players. 19,593 still remain. Renegade didn't get hurt that badly by those two great releases, I'm surprised.
...In fact, they might not of hurt it at all, this could just be a bad month.

Let's take this moment to compare Half-Life 2 / Half-Life 2: Death Match / Counter-Strike: Source to Renegade.
Okay, there is no comparrison what-so-ever. The graphics in Renegade sucks. The gameplay now sucks. It sucks.
On the other hand. Half-Life 2 was awsome. "Best graphics ever" (it has this award). Half-Life 2: Death Match, very fun, great addon. Counter-Strike: Source, not only is Counter-Strike the most played Multiplayer game ever, it now has the best graphics I've possibly ever seen (with everything on full, of course).
I'm sorry to say, but I think Renegade has come to it's final weeks/months. Next summer, I predict no-one will be playing Renegade.

EA would rather see Renegade rot in obscurity than release the game as a free downloadable game. Wouldn't that mean they'd have to allocate more precious tech support time to a game they hate only because they didn't think of it first?
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into Orca engines...

EU server is as good as "dead" yes, but there are still about about 500 players (that's what RG says) playing every day on USA and gayspy.
For a game that old, it's not to few.
Edit: 500 that use RG, now + all those non-RG users = ...?
