Me and others in Da Joint, WNx, TFW etc. have noticed a considerable rise in lag on the Warrior Nation AOW server and the TFW Server. This is only really started since a few days ago.
My ping usually on these servers is about 80-100, fps 40-50 and the server fps is usually about 50-60.
Recently we have all found our ping shooting up to about 200 and the server fps dropping to around 15.
This also appears to be across the whole of WOL Europe.
Has anybody else notcied this? Also anybody know why this is?

SFPS is only affected by the computer the server is on, with them being that low the ping would rise

WOL has absolutely nothing to do with latency when you're on a server.
cause = time

If WOL "lags" all servers should have it.
I have seen this only once... a year ago?

The data is between you and the server, WOL doesn't really have any role once you're connected to the server.
cause = time

If it was just me I wouldn't really make a big deal about it.
But seeing as it appears to be affecting other people and other servers across the whole of WOL I thought iI might ask what the heck is going on.
Has anybody else notcied this considerable rise in lag? My ping is usually around about 80-100 yet all of a sudden it has risen to over 200.
Surely there is a reason?

Yes, low sfps cause a rise in ping for all players...

And the sudden rise in sfps? I just joined about 3 different servers on WOL and yet again I cannot play because of the serious lag issue. Not just me, people were leaving like crazy because of the lag, it is really starting to irritate me now.
If low sfps causes a rise in ping for all players what causes the sudden decrease in sfps?
[EDIT] Changed a mistake as stryder kindly pointed out

Well my ping is indeed higher this week, but it's probably just my ISP... I'm getting a bit faster connection or something...

If low sfps causes a rise in ping for all players what causes the sudden increase is sfps?
|
Umm, the SFPS is decreasing.
Wow... I just got banned for being a fucking idiot.
