Sure the beta players have played the longest, and were by far better when the game came out. I probably havn't played enough with some of them but just because someone is a beta player doesn't make them elite. Also I'd consider anyone who got the game (beta or soon after release) and oldbie.

for me its just about how there was played in the beta. It was way more fun then after release. ppl in the beta knew to listen...

Same thing I said before...but like I said...my guess is that, They feel so proud because they haven't participated in many betas. I do remember all of the "oldbies" that have replied this message so far, but I haven't really seen a lot of really Skilled people...just people that started playing the game at the same time as me, but Quit playing it in less than 1/2 year. While the only person here that has been as active on this game at least for 2 years just like me is Homey. Again I'm not trying to insult anyone, but that's the way I remember that happened.

My definition of an oldbie is someone with extensive experience, so those people who were in demo or people who had the game since it was released would be in my opinion an oldbie. Although I also want a beta tester only match.
Also, I've beta tested about 30+ games, and believe me they don't come remotely near to the beta experience with Renegade. Those who didn't participate in the Renegade beta test won't know what us beta testers went through. That's why most of the beta testers in Renegade go on about it so much - it was unique.
I'll quite happily organise more matchs so others can play, don't worry I won't limit the fun. So you 'middlebies' and whoever else wants to play should get to.

Of course, The memorial christmas oldbie game is a SNIPING match...
The hell with it, When's it gonna go down? I'm not a well known sniper or nuttin but I'm an ancient midbie, So I guess if yall'll let me I'll join in.

fact is i will setup an eight player gamespy sniper server called Oldbie sniperwar on the 26th of December, oldbies will be able to play there.. ok I know small but good
