God bless the mountains. Living in Calgary, it can get quite cold (not as cold as winter-peg mind you, but still cold). However, we get a wonderful natura occurance called a chinook. Very Happy This can raise the temperature in the middle of a cold snap (-20C, -30C with wind chill, for an example) to plus temperatures(+2C, + 10C for example). Middle of winter, snow still on the gound (though in the middle of melting), and people are out in their shorts playing tennis, soccer, whatever.

It was 10 degrees when I went to the Grand Canyon last month. All I wore were shorts and a t-shirt.

The cold isn't that bad. You people need to live a little more.

Boo fucking hoo. It's 38 degrees out and rainy here, but I didn't complain when I had to walk from each of my classes today. I wasn't really all that cold, and the funny thing is, I get cold the easiest in my family.

Was that directed to me? How the fuck does 38degrees walking around with sweater blah blah compare to me wearing nothing but boxers during LA's lows?
Yes my room gets that cold.

1. To both you and DJLaptop
2. Who said I was wearing a sweater?
3. You're complaining about 65 degrees while wearing boxers? That's pathetic, dude. I've worn shorts in 40 degree weather...in May (when I was in elementary).

whoa.

ROFLMAO!!!!!! 65 degrees cold????? omfg i walk barefoot outside in 65 degrees in shorts and a cut-off tee shirt. WAHAHAHAHAHAHA, although my resistance to cold is pretty good. I played football from August - November. During freezing rain, snow, and sometimes during thunder(even though we technically shouldve cancelled practice). But thats wut you do to be a state contender.

Bull, they don't understand Michigan winters. They complain about it going below 70 degrees, while we only start to complain when it goes below 20.

whoa.

Pff, it's not the temperature, It's the wind. I can easily stand 10-30 degrees with a T-shirt and shorts when it's not windy.

Windy is always the worst. It was rainy and cold and wet and I think there was some wind. Another "beautiful" day in Michigan.

I said that was the high. Im talking about at night with 1 blanket with the low 30-40degrees. 65degrees is the high, read my post im not talking about 65degrees being cold. I actully enjoy the weather being 50-75degrees (roughly). I like the cold better than the hot. Also as I said before I have no heater, actully roughly the tempurature in my room is the same outside if not colder.

ugh, ince most people here are using Fahrenheit, I'll redo my post with that instead of Celsius.

Quote:

his can raise the temperature in the middle of a cold snap (-20C, -30C with wind chill, for an example) to plus temperatures(+2C, + 10C for example).

Change that to...

his can raise the temperature in the middle of a cold snap (-4F , -22F with wind chill, for an example) to plus temperatures (+35F, + 50F for example).
