Thier are 2 kinds of cheaters:
Blatant Flamboyant type: Uses FR up the ass, wants everyone to know he is cheating, waiting to be banned.
Smart Cheaters: These sobs are the worst, they cheat just a little bit but try to act as if they are not cheating... e.g. they'll have bighead enabled, but will shoot at your feet, then for a split second shoot your head. You know this because the split second they shot your head feels like you just got snipped rapidly.
Partial renguard is good for getting rid of cheater no.2. If server admins suspect a smart cheater, simply force him to run renguard. The crackhead cheater, simply ban.
I know people are gonna say what about cheater no.1 when no mods are present? That is why we have brenbot and other server manager programs. Almost all of them have some type of voting feature to kick people, use that. Hopefully new version of brenbot will have a 2 hour ban on people that get vote kicked for cheating.

well generally people willing to take the time and download fan maps aren't going to cheat because they know getting banned is not worht it.
Not to mention many of the map based hacks don't work.
At any given time your going to have 10x less cheaters then you would have on a server running regular maps. So no I don'think running RG on fan maps is needed.

Yes, I convinced mac to release the new BRenBot with half-RenGuard support. I think that's what most of you expected RenGuard to be in the first place. I have a graph every 5 minutes of players logged into Renguard and players on RenGuard servers... the number of people on Renguarded servers has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last few weeks.
I'm the bawss.

Not the same. His didn't kick for all types of cheating and would have been easy to exploit.
