I saw and lost in these here forums, a download to make a timed *beep* after you place your c4. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could still find this, as sometimes you dont want to have to watch the clock to know when you c4 will explode.

Cheers

Try either this http://www.egmods.com/DownLoadFiles/Renegade/sounds/c4_countdown_timer.zip or http://www.egmods.com/DownLoadFiles/Renegade/sounds/c4countdowntimer.zip I'm not sure which is it, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those two.

Thanks, but my firewall/antivirus wont let me download so either it is a problem file, or my pc is being stuborn. Either way, I'll keep looking.

You could also get RenGuard (if you don't have it). Then sign up for the Beta for Core Patch 1, which includes this feature, at http://www.renguard.com..

Would love to get renguard. only one problem.

I've asked for help here before, but nothing seemed to work. I even asked a mod for help and got nothing.

Here is the problem. I downloaded Renguard, and when I run the install wizard I have a window pop up with 3 options: modify, repair, remove. If I select modify or repair, a pop up tells me that that option cannot be done. I can only select remove. In the past I have removed both renguard and reinstalled renegade, but nothing has improved.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this. Cheaters are a waste of time, and I want to play renguarded servers.

Thanks

Have you tried zunnie's Simple guide to Installing RenGuard?

No one violated any copyright laws you idiot.

He didn't claim it as his own. He's not selling it.

And that is if those sounds are even under the copyright law...

Stop trolling...

I am the creator of the C4 countdown. I did not take an entire wav file from CS, I used a sample of ONE of the beeps and made my own beep sequence with it. The C4 countdown has been released for literally years now, and the readme file states that I used a sample from CS. Not only has nobody cared until some person that I wont mention tried to make a stink about it lately, but the top Renegade gaming clans have had that countdown as a *requirement* for their clan.

Use if if you like it, if not STFU. I'm not going to get sued by Valve. I never hid where I got the sound from. Nobody has complained EVER until the past 2 weeks, because it is included in CP1. If you install CP1 and don't like the countdown, then you can easily drop in your on wav file, including the origional sound, or a zero byte one to remove all C4 sounds alltogether.
