I have installed renguard since its first release. I even did some of the beta testing for early releases. Now I have encountered an annoying problem. Over the last week renguard kicks me out of renegade at random sometimes just says "disconnected from renguard network" no big deal. other nights it compleatly restarts my computer. "again never happened before this week" last night it told me "Bad/Corrupted file data\Always2.dat has been found in your renegade directory" so i uninstalled renegade and all my server stuff. even explored windows to make sure it was compleatly gone. restarted my system installed renegade, updated it. downloaded renguard and installed it. ok worked fine lastnight. tonight it says more

tonight i also signed up for the core patch 1. but it has not been downloaded yet. any idea what i can do to fix this?

I also run an illegal copy of xp pro corporate edition. I have installed sp2 and have not had any problems till last week. renegade kicks me out of the game at randon..

I uninstalled renegade and reinstalled it but still the same problem

So you run SP2 and get this error...
As far as I know, windows tends to alter files randomly sometimes, however I wonder if this happens more to people using SP2 than people which do not have it installed?

I have never had this error yet and I'm still using SP1 (and will probably continue to do so for a while), because of too many complaints about SP2

This is not a result of SP2! I have had sp2 since it came out and I have just encountered the problem this week! Thank you for the links to the original files..
