I delinked (well, I removed it from linking to the network again after Kholdstare delinked it) as soon as I got online and saw what had happened. As I said on other forums, I am very sorry about this incident and it won't happen again. When I first linked "avast" I was not told who else had root access on the box and I had been trying to get control of the "activescan" bot (as in, host it on one of my own boxes) for about a week.
I have already spoken to the folks at fanmaps and they appear to be satisfied with my actions, so thread closed.
I'm the bawss.
