You don't need to be attempting to make a clone if you honestly think it remotely involves .pkg files.

I don't think vlokt would have a problem with you coming up with your own scripts and commands, as has been said before, no one owns the ability to write scripts. It's just that you wouldn't have had any idea about half of this stuff without his ingenuity to come up with it.
