I would like to learn C++ and I was wondering if any of you guys could reccomend a good compiler and book.

I didn't learn by book. But get yourself a copy of MS Visual C++.

What exactly do I have to download, on the MS site there are alot of Visual C++ compilers and add-ons, etc.

I went to ollies, they have increadible deals on computer books, i've gotton an 80 dollar book for 5 there.

THe ones i've used to learn code is by http://www.beginningdotnet.com , tehy don't just throw you into some technical shit they walk you through step by step.

I'm just going to pay $300 and have someone teach me it. That way, it'll make college somewhat desirable to go to...now if only I had thought of that THIS semester.
