Omg liek go Valve.
Quote: | According to unconfirmed reports which emerged last night, developer Valve has been hit by another embarrassing leak - with the complete script to Half-Life 2, including the "surprising" ending, being released on the web.
Reports indicate that the developer actually distributed the script over the Steam distribution network by accident, with the inclusion of a file - intended for captioning purposes in the game - in one of the preview builds of Counter-Strike: Source which have been made available in the past week.
The first assets for the Half-Life 2 launch are expected to be pre-loaded onto the Steam network in the next 24 hours, with the release date of the game - as yet unconfirmed - thought to be only a few weeks away.

Honestly, delaying a whole freaking game only because their little story was leaked? I mean, what's next? "A flying unicorn flew by our studios, so we're delaying HL2 again"?
I suck cock and love it... absolutely love it. And I just got banned for being too immature to be allowed to post here.

Or maybe they're just learning from their mistakes and taking the time to make sure that the preload is heavily encrypted so that another leak doesn't happen. I personally wouldn't mind if they changed the ending, because I believe I may have seen the real one when some douchebag posted it in a topic title. Hopefully he was just talking out of his ass.

This "leak" didn't cause any delay at all. The file in question was in the cache files for the Counter-strike Source beta.
It hasn't affected the HL2 release one iota.

icedog90 | Half-Life 2 will never be released.

No, Duke Nukem: Forever will never be released.
But god, these people constantly delay this game, like every week it's some new thing.

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)
