I cant even install renguard [message #110159]

"Now you start the RenGuard 1.03 installation. The RG1 install will automatically detect your Renegade game so basically all you have
to do is click on "Next" , "Next" and "Finish" "

When I go to install renguard, my first screen has 3 options: "modify", "repair", and "remove". Modify is the default, I click "next" and a window pops up telling me that I cannot modify, so I click repair, again a window pops up telling me I cannot repair. I tryed to re-install and the same thing happens again.

Any ideas?

Click remove, restart computer, reinstall.

still nothing. Im not very computer smart (sure, I'm a Noob), but I tryed removing it, nothing. I tryed sending the setup.exe file to recyle bin and it wont let me. How can I uninstall this badboy to reinstall?

If you continue having problems I will give you the "safe installer" which is basically a zipfile that you can unzip to your renegade directory and you will have RenGuard.

Uhm, did you try to use a newer installer while an older version of RenGuard was installed?

Proud N9500 and proud N6270 user. Creator of the IEE libraries (original bhs.dll) and the RB series software.

I'm trying to install the latest version. If you think the safe installer will work, I can try that. I just want to play a server with out those cheating bastards getting in the way.

the same thing is happening to me too and now i cant even play ranagade without it it gives me a mismatch error.

Well, I re-installed Renegade, downloaded the patch, then downloaded renguard, and I still cant get past that same spot when trying to run the setup. No ideas. Is there a contact for Renguard that I could try, maybe they can help me. I'm just sick of f*#&ing cheaters.
