Can someone help me please. My rengaurd starts fine with renwarz and gamespy, it even say's

[13] Trying to connect to server #1...Connected
[13] Secure link established.
[13] Welcome to RenGuard , Grim_Reaper!
[13] To launch Renegade, please click 'Renegade'.

But when i press renegade it disappears, the reappears saying the same thing. I have tryed uninstalling and re-installing rengaurd and renegade but it dose not work.
Please help as i cant play on any good server that i know of without rengaurd.

Try executing game2.exe manually and see if you can play with that on non-rg servers.

It looks to me like your renegade installation is not working at all.

A fully working renguard / renegade installation has these files:

game.exe
game2.exe
renguard.dll

Where game2.exe is renegade. Grab a nocdkey-renegade exe and place it as game2.exe into your renegade directory.

However, RenGuard should refuse to startup with no game2.exe in place.

Thanks for the help, but I think I found the problem. It was my webcam, It was screwing up my computer and when I uninstalled it rengaurd was working fine.

Login, as an admin. (XP). You need administrator access to install on xp. Make sure your not a limited user.

Get a working always.dbs from one of your friends.
Overwrite it with the one in your data folder, all should work fine after.

You need to aquire the Administrator password or have somebody with Admin privilages to log on to your computer.
When in an Administrator account, goto Control Panel > User Accounts.
Find your username, and change this to the Administrator Group in one of the selections.

Log back into your account, you will find this error solved.

So, what has the above just done?
It has told Windows that you are an owner of the computer and you require unlimited access to all files and settings.

If you are still having trouble. Post again with your computer configuration, (e.g. Windows Version, Network Configuration - is it on a domain or home network? or even neither?)

having trouble with rengaurd. I unintsalled it. when i went to reinstall it, is shows that it is still their, but it is not working. I have tried a few times to unistall it, but something is not bieng unistalled any ideas? I can not reinstall it because of this

if you remove renguard, make sure the following are/aren't there:
- game.exe (353kb) - IF there, delete.
- game2.exe (4.20MB) - IF there, rename to game.exe
- renguard.dll (566kb) - IF there, delete.

then try the renguard installation again, if it still doesn't work, post here with the exact error message.

hi guys,

good to know that someone care enough about hacks and make lil programs like your,grats for this.I have trouble with it,its installed,theres no prob for that,as i try to patch it,my screen freeze,i dont know why,i dont even see an error msg,Nothing,but frozen screen..
i have the

- game.exe (353kb)
- game2.exe (4.20MB)

But i dont have this 1
- renguard.dll (566kb)

i done a quick search,tried to locate it somewhere,i dont have it,cant say why either,is there a link you guys can give me to get this : renguard.dll
file plz?

and rightnut, renguard has NOTHING to do with BFV, it shouldnt even be in the BFV directory you muppet

I play BF+Punkbuster and also use RG == ABSOLUTE NO PROBLEMS!!

thank you bud,that work,a bit..

my screen stop freezing with that renguard.dll file,but i got an error msg now

old file does not exist
note the error you are getting as well as what file is being patched etc..

core patch1 introduction

it stop downloading at this file

Now Patching data\CC_City_Flying.mix

when i hit "renegade" icon,it launch single player renegade?

You need to upgrade Renegade to version 1.37 before attempting to install ANY Blackhand Studios products, either RenGuard or Core Patch 1.

ouch,yea that was the case,i had to format,and i forget to patch renegade,ill do that right now,ill remove renguard first,then get the patch,then re-install renguard,Thanks for Patience guys,good works you done here.

hey,

after losing the cd to renegade i have had to use a no cd crack, however renguard doesnt work now even though it was installed while i had the cd. is there anyway of using renguard with the no cd crack or will i have to re-purchase the game?

Usually you'd just install Renegade, then patch it, install a no-cd crack and then finally install RenGuard. Since you've already installed RG, you'll need someone to send you their cracked game2.exe and possibly even game.exe if RG doesn't work.
