I know theres a renguard IRC chat room.
But hows this for an idea.
When you load up Renguard and when it loads up the client MOTD page, theres a link on the left to log onto a community chat room where renguard users can meet up, invite to servers, meet up for Clanwars, etc.

This could prove to be a nice feature for the RG Client as 1) Chat rooms can be moderated (unlike WOLchat) 2) you know for sure the person on the other end is using Renguard and not cheating. and 3) can attract more people to using RG as opposed to just using it for its anti-cheat capabilities.

Don't flame me if you have another opinion, but it was something that just came into my head when launching it for a couple of times in the past.

Sounds like a good idea, but it would need a good method of making sure people can only connect using RenGuard!

You could just use a modified IRC client, but make it to encrypt the sent data so that people can't just connect to the server without RenGuard running.

I brought this up, my eventual idea is for RG to have an unlimited buddy list and GUI based locating and paging thru the client itself. Eventually it will get done, but I think currently they have more pressing matters to be working on.

Hmm, that would be good. There could be a room for request clans that want it before having a clanwar where they only can join and be moderated but they can't tell the other clan eg.

Then they go into a room where they get everyone to join whos playing get paged the server pass and join the pwn. Wink

Sounds like a good idea. Is there a way to have links to the current RenGuard servers and be able to join them when you click on them through WOL? Or does that only work with Gamespy?
