Watched "The Siege" one too many times have we?
It just means you'll see 2 MP's in a humvee on Cops arresting some jerk instead of 10 police officers in 6 police cars.
The military becomes the police when the civilian law enforcement agencies are unable to maintain public order and safety.
And the oath of this temporary law enforcement:
I, do solemnly swear, or affirm, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Unless you consider the Constitution as the only law as "fucking nazi germany" Which I guess some do since it's attacked and bastardized over and over again.
