That's the question I have been asking, because he doesn't act real professional. We should take a vote, Yes if he should be fired, No if he shouln't be fired.

If making votes about ones professionalism is appropriate, I think it is suitable to create a vote to ban sw33t for his stupidity.

If all else fails, run'em over!

Why does everybody have to jump down everybody else's throat in here. ACK had a point....Ty (although abit nasty) had a point, Alkaline had a point and even quikboy had a point.....sheesh ppl need to stop being so bitchy

On a subnote about the bitching in game Ty...ya its annoying but i have had problems before by being on the wrong side to monitor cheats or possible cheats in game and the fact that someone who i know is an experienced player says they cheat.....it can draw your attention to the right ppl. (of course you get the n00bs that yell cheat because they happened to die and they believe they are invincible...) If moderation was simple and hassle free the game would be much easier, but we as mods know the risks and take the chances of having to throw our own game because someone is cheating or breaking rules.

You're taking the piss, right? An IQ of 650 (not to mention above) would be over 3 times smarter than the smartest man on earth. Albert Einstein's IQ is 160. The average person has an IQ between 90-110. Some smart kids have 130s. IQs cannot be measured above 200, so an IQ of DOUBLE 650 is comical at best. If your brain had an IQ of 1300, it would probably explode. Smile

aeon phoenix, if you're that smart, why not create another frankenstein monster with chemicals n' shit, y0?

Actually, he didn't say his IQ was 650. He said it was "bouble 650s." I think he meant to say "double 650s," which also makes me think he meant SAT score, not IQ. And SAT scores are out of 800/800, so a 650/650 doesn't impress me at all.

EDIT:
Also, flyingfox, a lot of people with high IQ's are dumb as fuck. I went to MIT, which is apparently the best technical school in the world, and I was amazed by the sheer number of idiots present. (Granted, the general population is somehow even stupider than that, but they were still pretty damn dumb.) My point though is that even "smart" people are often too stupid to ever do anything worthwhile (such as create a monster).

EDIT PART TWO:
I believe Frankenstein was actually the mad scientist, not the monster.

Oops, you'd be right about the monster. But some called him "frankenstein's monster" (as was the name of the book), so you may say he was frankenstein Jr. since he was never actually given a name.

http://englischlehrer.de/tests/sat.php
Well, that said a good SAT is a score of 1,200 points, but would that mean 1200/1200? Confused Scottish schools don't even do SAT tests, so I have no idea.

Yep, IQ scores aren't that accurate when you relate them to intelligence. Although they "do" show you that these people can do the math, so they can't be completely dumb. We get an IQ test on T.V. about once every year, (hosted by a bitch for talking sakes) offering anyone a serious of questions and a scale at the end to tell them how intelligent they are. There are always groups in the audience too, real stereotypes like "blondes" "brunettes", people that work in construction, other trades and the like, that take the test and get rated too. They do insist the score isn't an actual indication of how smart you are, but there ya go. Most of the questions are based around logic, mathematical problems, or things like putting the right word into a sentence, or what one word really means in a sentence, etc.. perhaps it means that these people you went to school with were just smart when they felt like it.

Edit: oh by the way, about that 2 clause thing.. you were right. 2 dependant clauses can't be used with a comma in between (I believe that was the argument) but they can be used without a comma.

There are two common standardized tests in the US: SAT and ACT. (I don't remember offhand what those two things stand for though.)

The SAT has two sections, verbal and math, and each one is scored out of a possible 800 points. So a perfect score would be a 1600, but when asking for your score, people (and by that I mean colleges and things like that) often want to know what you got on each of the two sections.

I got a 1590 (790 verbal, 800 math) and my sister got a 1580 (780 verbal), so I really don't think a 1300 is very impressive. The test is pretty pitifully easy, too -- I'm kinda ashamed to admit I actually got a question wrong on it. (But people often take it multiple times and only report their best score, and I only took it once, so I don't feel toooooo bad....)

The ACT is a similar test, but it's scored differently. A perfect score is a 36. (My sis got a 35, and I got a 34.)

(Also, it's funny you mention that clause stuff, because I only just noticed the PM you sent me about it today! Razz )

Tip for the day, when posting how intelligent you are, try not to violate basic English sentence structure.

And I would have to agree with this last statement in blue. I worked with Nuclear plant workers that couldn't get the button sequence on thier shirt correct. Common sense isn't very common.

You're missing the point. I wasn't saying "look how smart I am." I was saying "A 1300 is nothing; I know lots of people who got 1600s, and quite a few of them are stupid."

In any case, what are you nitpicking about? What's wrong with what I wrote?

"Stupider" is a word. And there's nothing wrong with splitting an infinitive. That's just a common myth.

Subject:"Stupider" vs. "More Stupid"?

Question
A friend made a post on a message board saying that someone was "Stupider" than someone else... and reading it, I thought the proper way to express that would be to use "More stupid".

Apparently "Stupider" is a word according to dictionary.com, but is "more stupid" also correct?

Thanks for your time & help!

Answer
In the past, and *perhaps* still by *some* authorities, it has been considered incorrect to form the comparative of some multisyllabic adjectives by adding -er, but objections to words such as "stupider" have come to seem a bit schoolmarmish in current usage. But there's certainly nothing wrong with saying "more stupid"!

Here is a selection of writing myths that can be safely discarded:
....
(3) You must not split your infinitives - If you think a sentence will be more emphatic, clear or rhythmical, split your infinitive – there is no reason in logic or grammar for avoiding it.

Dude, didn't you read any of the posts since the last time you mentioned your 'IQ'?

mahkra

I think he meant to say "double 650s," which also makes me think he meant SAT score, not IQ.

I'll try to say this as simply as I can:

YOUR S.A.T. SCORE IS *NOT* YOUR I.Q.!!!!!!!

Also, just because <1300 = automatic elimination, that doesn't mean that >1300 = automatic acceptance. In other words, 1300 is their cutoff to separate the unbearably stupid from those who *might* be intelligent. It's not their cutoff to separate the smart people from the dumb ones.

As I might have guessed  . The point I'm trying to make here is that I'm intellectual and can show it. SATs have a big show on how "intellegent" you are.

If you "can" show it, you certainly haven't made the effort to.
