I'm just wondering... why the fuck hasn't this thread been locked? (or maybe even deleted?) I seem to remember hearing something about how this petty RenAlert & Reborn bickering wasn't going to be tolerated.
I guess I must just be mistaken, because we all know Crimson NEVER lets ACK get away with breaking any of her rules...

By the way, Aircraftkiller, in regards to the comment about the models posted, specifically the gun -- Their gun looks a heck of a lot better than that peice of crap rocket launcher you released... And I can't see anything wrong with those textures on the models...
You always tell others to get their head out of their butt -- Prehaps you should look into removing your head from your own butt, because, yeah, I can't say that Ren Alert's models are any better than Reborn's, at least as far as I've seen recently.

If everyone has a right to their own opinion then let me atleast say what i think.
First off the quote stated that he does not care about the community has obviously been forever. I for one even offered to map for them, but i said i would not do any level edit work... I basically said take it or leave it, but i guess they dont need maps because they already have maps that are years old to date. They obviously cant map at all, or you would actually see a full collection of maps posted on the forums, but of course instead they decide to update every single texture 5 times before even comming close to making an attempt on a map.
I dont think they realize they wont go anywhere with only 5 maps to choose from, like hell its been 1 full year and not one single map has been posted yet..
It just gets to me alot, to even see a team working on a mod and not even attempt to make maps for it, but instead decide to constantly update pointless textures, as they were all fine to begin with.
I could care less about texturing, and i really dont care if it looks like real metal or not, i just hate seeing constant updates about OOOh a new texture.
Half the new models created are not even made by the reborn team, they must be glad 00oo00o0o is working for them, otherwise all they would be updating the public with, is new textures.
Common this is a mod right? then get some damn maps on the go, im sure if you guys can make a mod, you need to know how to make a damn map in the first place atleast?
Thats my say, its not my flaming, its my full opinion on why i do not like the mod at this point in time.

Jester718, Do you know what BETA means? It means PRERELEASE, UNFINISHED. When you do PUBLIC BETAS, OF COURSE IT MATTERS... ITS IS TESTED BY THE PUBLIC, OF COURSE THE PUBLIC WILL JUDGE IT. If you aren't ready, then just do INTERNAL betas rather than releasing a 'bug-free' public halfassed release.
You can't just keep releasing crappy betas and expect everyone to think "Oh one day when Fairy of Dawn releases a decent Final version, the game will rock..." because if you do, they might be waiting their entire lifetime for something non-existance to be released.
There should have been at least ONE map finished recently, look at the RenAlert mod - they have been pumping out maps.

They have how many mappers after this many years of being a so called mod?
Did you say 1? lol.
I know renalert only has one mapper, but atleast aircraftkiller knows what hes doing to begin with.
Id like to see some screenshots of the progress of these so called maps, and who is it that is making them?
Atleast renalert already has a huge head start, because they already have about 17 maps.. Renegade only has 9 , so thats alot of extra maps, where as reborn only has 5, and half of them were made by other people in the renegade community. Then let alone they had to use Seige which is probably one of the oldest and most out played renegade maps ever made.
Seems to me, they will probably just rip off the westwood maps, and use them, seeming they think everything has that Tiberium sun feel to it .
