Now I have gotten a whole new error when I tried to install and play C&C95 this time. I installed the gold patch and ran in 95 mode and it worked up until the second Nod mission. It then says cannot read scenario in game.
I installed counterstrike could this have any effect? My disk isnt scratched either... Whats going on I wanna play C&C

Any finger prints, dust, dirt, smudges, or anything of that sort, if so, take a piece of toilet paper, wet it with warm water, and wipe the smudges of by gently rubbing from the inside of the CD outwards, do not rub side to side, just front and back. Not sure if that could be helpful to you or not, but it's worked for me before.

Yeah genetix..But did you get the "Cannot read scenario" thing.
And I checked. My disk is clean as.....something really clean.....I guess.
And I got so many years ago

Yes I mean covert ops.
I changed all the executables on the cd and in the install folder to win95 compatibility mode. That didnt work either

So apparently somehow the game cannot read the mission poperly. Did you make any modification to the game files on your hard drive?
Otherwise I think your disc is indeed faulty, maybe it suffered from sunlight or something?

Have you successfully played C&C from those discs before?
Faulty disc is all I can make of it, although you could always try reinstalling the game.

Ok I got it working somehow by reinstalling it. Dunno what was wrong
|
You needed to install it in compatibility mode, run the setup.exe file in compat mode.. I had the same problem. Stil can't get covert ops to work though.
