I have a radeon 9000 pro and love it.

However, im going to return it tomorrow, and i urge you to wait.

Radeon 9500's come out soon. For a non-pro its going to be 30 bucks more than the 9000 pro 128, and be faster, and be directx 9 compliant. It only has 64 megs of ram, but hey, thats what they invented AGP for, IMHO.

R9500 pros will be availble with 128 megs of ram for about 70 bucks more. These will definitely be faster than the 9000, and directx9 compliant.

worth waiting another couple of weeks for IMHO

I have a Radeon 8500 128mb and its great. It's only a little slower that the GeForce 4 Ti range, but the difference isn't noticable, but the price is.

ATI drivers are more stable than Nvidia drivers, Nvidia drivers don't like some computers....like mine!

I use my security card for graphics! It is simple, just staple it to the cercuit board and always have a super large fan on when you are playing the game and it is amazing! I get 7000 flickering frames pure second! Beat that jack asses! [Razz] [Razz] [Razz]

then please please wait

radeon 9500 non-pros will be out anytime for around 180

and radeon 9500 pros are supposed to be out within weeks for 220 with a 20 dollar mail in rebate

i just returned my radeon 9000 pro 128 today at best buy in exchange for a gift card worth 180 bucks. it guarantees me a 9500 at least, but ill probably pay 40 bucks extra for a 9500 pro, since it has twice the amount of pipes.

Yes, the AGP port is faster than PCI so you get better performance from and AGP card than a PCI card, but they are more expensive
