is it me, or is there alot more newbie modders here lately...
here is some tips for you guys...
- Don't show up from no where, and advertise this kick ass program you made, and everyone should download it... (memories of the flying buzzz *yeesh)
- if you haven't finished anything... don't offer to help
- get the tools.... RenHelp, Gmax 1.1 or 1.2, Westwoods Renegade Tools, Xcc OR RenegadeEx.
- ask for help in ONE topic... it is annoying to see the same topic in 5 different phrasings.
- if your website is the same as everyone elses, has popups, and looks like a five year old developed it... keep it to your little fanclub.
- SEARCH THE FORUM BEFORE YOU POST A QUESTION that is what that feature is for

ok, by no means am i trying to put down anyone who wants to start modding, but alot of things have happened, and alot of people are tired of the same stuff... be original, learn what you can, and don't reinvent the wheel...

We also don't need to see your models all the time... If you make some simple bunker, fine, that's good. Put it in your map and then give it out for download some other time.
If you're going to start a map, please, finish it and don't get people's hopes up - then not finish at all.

I've been here since before the tools we're released. Never had the urge to post until ack & buzz severly ticked me off with all their antics and westwood sat around laughing and did nothing. ack admitted this remember?
But just because I refuse to release anything here doesn't mean I dont know didly. ![[Mad]](mad.gif)
You Dante are the one attracting people here. Your people skills are superb. Instead of saying "That's not possible" you offer alternatives. IMO you have given us more than ack ever could. I'm gettin off on a rant so i'll stop, but facts are facts.
[this was alot longer, had to chop it up cuz we all know what happens to people's post when they go up against ack & westwood.]

Point out where I am arrogant or shut the hell up!
If you do, don't say "Oh, you think you're a god and blah blah blah", nah, I think I have a lot of experience in doing maps for games and I think I know quite a lot more than most people here do about it, which is why I am entitled to say what I say.
