This happened to me too. To temporarily fix the prob. untill we find a solution, you can just roght-click the object and you can select Move, Rotate, Manipulate, ETC.

Try going to the Customize menu and select Customize User Interface. Then, click on the load button at the bottom of the window. Then, select RenX.cui at the directory gmax\gamepacks\Westwood\RenX\ui. I think that may be it, but I'm not sure.

Excuse me, I figured my 4 years of experience with 3D Studio Max, and the Gmax program which was cloned from it, held some usefull information.
I forgot most people who are new to the program don't move the Main toolbar to the tab panel to get it up out of the way.

ive had 4 years of experience with it and found that if you click on a empty space on the right toolbar or on teh tab panel and make sure all of are on tehn it works
