How do I connect two things together? I mean like, if I have two boxes and I want to make them one box, how do I connect them?

convert the one box into mesh than klick on the bottun "attach" an selcet the other box.
If you want to put the vertexes togeter select "vertex editing" in the modifiertab than scrool down an select "target" than you can select the vertixes an move then together.
