No, it would be the M1A1 or eqivilant. The A2 came out in the mid-nineties and has a recognizable cylinder on the left side of the turret, the CITV (Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer) and some more electronic equipment, along with upgraded ordnance like STAFF shells, improved HEAT shells, MPAT shells, and the normal sabot shells.
The M1A1 did not have most of the improvements that the A2 did. It had the HEAT and sabot rounds, but nothing else besides the machine guns and improved armor.

That never made it into Renegade. It was made by a friend of mine in Westwood... It wasn't made totally by them. He also made the r4ped version of the tank which is present in Renegade today.
