Dragon Fly Helicopter Finished! [message #-982534] Fri, 14 February 2003 12:27 Go to next message

Laubi needed me to make this helicopter model for his mod, It's the Dragon Fly...

I just have to add the machine gun tomorrow and I can hand it over to Laubi.

The Screens:
Screen 1, Screen 2, Screen 3

It's 972 polygons, and took between 1 hour and 1.5 hours.

What do you all think???

(What it looks like in real life:
Dragon Fly: 1, Dragon Fly: 2, Dragon Fly: 3)

The top rotor blades are a bit thick. Other than that looks good.

He might as well rename his mod to anything but Red Alert... Because it doesn't look like it at all.

Rather or not his mod looks like Red Alert isn't my problem [Smile]

Hmmm, I'll thin the rotors out a bit...

Rotors are still too thick, and the tail does not look correct.

The rotor blades aren't too thick, they're alot thinner...

And how exactly does the tail not look correct?

If you have seen one of these things up close, then you know that the blades are very thin. And the tail does not look like tail. More like a block on a block.
But it your model, do as you wish.

The thing that sticks all the way up in the back?

That wing is small enough that noone would notice or care about a change that small.
