I heard that 3ds max has the ability to "render". What is a render?
Also, what else does 3ds max have that gmax doesn't? Or does 3ds max cost 3500 dollars more than gmax just for the ability too render?

As I understand, that's about it... of course you can't do much without be able to render (can't do anything with your modles) ???????? Is that what you said?!

What happened to the other replies to this thread? or did you create a new thread for the same thing?
They just took out all the cool stuff, downgraded some stuff, etc.
And it's 3500 because they can put it that high, there's only like 3 of these programs out there.
