well i posted this on here because the general forum is down. 2 questions:
1. how the game, is it worth it?(i can't get it till friday when i get home) 2. well it's in the topic subject: do you think it matters whether or not you get aircraft?

The game is definitely worth buying when it comes out. Get the demo as soon as you can so you can start practicing. As for the Orcas, well they would have been cool, but once you play the game for awhile you'll realize that they just don't fit into the gameplay style. It's a ground based game and it would just unbalance everything to have aircraft in it. The demo map really isn't designed with aircraft in mind either, as I imagine many multiplayer maps probably aren't.

well if they do include air units i'm thinking they'll have to make missile launchers like the ones in tribes 2.
ex. they home in on the heat of the engine and then fire the missile. the only prob would be that in tribes 2 you have to have a lock to fire, but they can always fix that.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. There are NOT pilotable air vehicles. The orcas are just for show in the single-player game.

well that's what i meant. they said if they included aircraft then they would have to put another 6 months of development in.
atleast a couple of months(imo) would focus on counter-measures for the aircraft(possible including heat seeking missile launchers or somethin to that effect).

I found out guys that there are now aircraft in the multiplayer game that you can fly. Only on 2 maps though. Incredible!!! think of all the possiblilities
