ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS place prox. c4 all over the pedestal. There is nothing more embarrassing than reducing Nod to 1 almost-destroyed building and then instantly losing cuz blackhand placed nuke and there was nobody to protect barracks pedestal. and in the tunnels perhaps. And make sure there is at least 2 engie/hotwires patrolling the base.

This message is mainly for boofis-like nOOObs(Which there are more then plenty of still infesting Renegades). Most of u probably knew it already.

Proxies on pedestal, when you are GDI. So instead of protecting both MCT and pedestal, you only want to protect the pedestal.

If you're nod I can understand mining the pedestal, 3 should do, just in case your other mines didn't take care of the beacon dropper.

If you are GDI it is probably a better idea just to mine the entrance to the barracks since that will protect both the mct and the pedestal.
