Heres a great wya to get creds... Buy an armored transport, and just shot tanks and buildings while moving around. You get insane creds, and people don't bother to attack you msot of the time because its jsut an armored transport. It's cheap, fires extremely fast, great way to get creds.

Ya hes talkin about APC's, hes wrong about The tank ppl ignoring u, THEY fire at any enemy they see, I no i would, I take no prisoners... so ur either dead or ur running like hell...

That's a great way to waste credits. And APC's are the first things you destroy, you never know what's inside. It might be a nasty present.

That's stupid, you spend 500 on an APC you have no tactical use for and just shoot buildings with the machine gun. It gives you points and credits but people will just blow you up. You're certainly not gonna make back your 500 before dying.

Thats not true if you are very good at controlling the APC it does become very useful, it's speed and handling is very very good you can't kill a tank but if your smart you will attack it and dodge u way back to base repair and go back out and do it again.

lol, as if nobody shoots the apc... if uve got 5 mammoths comin at ya and an apc... everybody goes for the apc first... its the worst thing that can happen to your base
the mammoths can be taken care of by the obelisk

If i need money, I do the following. GDI: get Sydney for 150, and go for stealth tanks. with proper strafing you can take out a stealth and get a quick bit of cash. Nod: Stealth, cost 400 but I go out and place timed c4 on everything!! The popular targets are MRL as they blow up with one. Snipers are fun to take out with C4 too.

If you play with me you will take that back pretty fast. I take out more infantery with my APC than any sniper in the game. You can run them over or place a few headshots to kill them.(Its the best anti-sniper choice since they canīt headshot you) And its so fast you can dodge incoming tank fire. And if your good you can even destroy light armored vehicles. I looooooooooooove the APC.

And let us not forget that it was the mighty APC that ended up killing Cliff Hicks and won that player a free copy of Renegade! It is a great vehicle, might and strong, and can do so very much on the field. From bring a person to his/her target to taking a whole squad of people to a major battle saftly! And sniper killing, and running over people! It is a great beast! Never to be trifled with! So if you see an APC...worry...then run! Peace

You know, I find the "tap the key" method to work the best when controling the apc and the humvee.....
When you bear down on those keys, it feels like driving on ice. Little taps on them seem to do much better....
except of course when the Evil Lag gets ya down....

I prefer light/medium tanks over APCs. They are about as fast, have better turning, do more damage and are better rushers (a medium tank can usually drive all the way up to an Obelisk, but an APC gets blasted before it gets there and you have to run the last bit). The only downside is that they can't take 5 people - and that they cost a bit more.

Also, it depends on the server... You have to turn ahead of time for the server to register a turn when you want it. Tapping the keys works in games with up to 300 ping or so... Any more than that is pointless to play in anyway so... My hypothesis is that the server "knows" where all the vehicles are...
Example:
In Tribes 2, you sent in where you have moved to the server, then the server sends the other people the new location info.
In C&C renegade, you have toe tell the server where you want to move, and you actually start moving only as soon as the server gets the info you sent.

please guys, this is the tacs and strats section. i've enjoyed the fact that there are fewer flamers here and most that post here either want to learn or want to share their strategies. yes, i know there are far fewer posters than in the general section, but even still, the flames are few and far between in this forum. please keep it that way. if a particular player thinks that the apc is a good multipurpose vehicle for racking up some big kills and bucks, then so be it. it's his choice and he chose to share his "secret" with the rest of us. if you haven't gone out in an apc and done what he's done, then you don't know. so try it and share your experience with the group. and please, keep it positive and constructive!...
