good post! one thing i'd like to add is that on maps like under which have base defense and limited ways into the base, concentrate your mines in the tunnels and obelisk/agt. doing this makes it very hard for anything but a vehicle rush to succeed in penetrating the base. on maps with no defenses or several ways to access a base, definitely concentrate on putting mines inside the buildings. then stay there and keep replacing them as needed.
