well, it's been a long dry spell, but i'm happy to say that i just participated in my first group rush! old hat to most of you guys by now, but being mostly a defensive player, i seldom venture out offensively, though i have seen them coming at me several times. most of my offensive forays(sp) have met with mixed results. some good, many bad. but this time, somebody knew what they were doing, saw our offensive capability in the field and said "let's rush em". i was in a mobile artillery as the enemy just wasn't doing much attacking. i had joined the group at the front just as the command was given to go in. it was beautiful. the enemy fought bravely and were fight fiercely to save the agt, but it was already too late. me and another ma sat back and shelled it as our flame tanks went in and took the heat(so to speak). it fell quickly and we immediately began shelling the factory. then somebody planted a beacon and the factory and pp blew almost simultaneously. then i joined in and helped finish off the tiberium refinery. after that, my ma finally breathed its last. i got out and started repairing a nearby ft which for some reason was empty so i hopped in and put the last few points of damage on the barracks as the game ended. man, what a rush!(in more ways than one..lol) with success stories like this, i can understand why so few players are defensive, but i still plan to protect the base more often than not...
