Does anyone know what the star designates by a players name in the scoreboard? It is not the MVP because that player is listed first. Also, sometimes more than one player on the same team has the star.

Well, normally the star indicates yourself. But then 2 stars would be impossible (I haven't seen 2 stars yet!!), I don't know about the 2 stars, sorry.

I was wondering that myself, I finished playing a game last night and I usually just see a star next to my name and I figured it just denotes myself.. but I noticed another teammate with a star also.. could be just a bug possibly??

Hmm i think you didn´t understand his question. He asked what the Star in SCOREBOARD means. The Scoreboard which come after the end of the game.
I asked this question in the german board and nobody knows it there too.
Perhaps we must write a mail to Westwood for getting an answer for it. Sorry for my bad english cause I´m German

nope, its not because of clanmates... its random i think... sometimes 3 or more people are highlighted that way, mostly its just me i didnt knew the other guys, did nothin special with them, they werent the best etc. dunno what causes it

Someone please find an answer to this. I would really like to know. Since more than one player can have it, I assume it is some type of award. I also have seen my name in the list without the star, but I don't think it was at the end of the round.

That's thru sometimes i see 1 star sometimes 2 or 3 on other players.... Most of the times when i saw a star i was good in that map but i don't know if that has something to do with this.

Wait, I'm getting a bright idea..... No It's gone..... No no, it's back. Maybe the stars indicate the player with the most kills. (Just guessing now, since I've read the replies of you guys.)

First read then answer. The Star cannot mark the player with the most kills. I test it by myself in a game.

Maybe YOU should read. I didn't say it was for the player with the most kills. The star and white text is on YOU, so you can find your name. Some bug occassionally makes other names appear white w/stars as well. It seems to happen more when people join the game while the scores are displayed between maps.

Based on what?!  I just came from a game where three players on my side had stars by their names (including me), and they did NOT just join the game. I was at the top of the leaderboard and they were positions 4 and 5 of 8 players total on our side. Each of the other players had kills and a significant score. Cause they appear RANDOMLY!!!!! Some people got stars when having like 2 kills and 36 points. Plus, when you check your rankings, there is no mention about stars... Third, have you noticed that once the score board appears, you are the only one with a star, no mather your score, and it takes about 1 sec for the other stars to appear??? And about Christine comment, it happends often, she said, but not always! and to add something, it may not be the new players who get the star, cause it's a simple bug. It's random.... and it's worthless. The star is supposed to allow you to quickly take a look at your score without having to look for your name in the board.... nothing more, nothing less....

Well, they did put a star instead of highliting... I play On WOL and there's no record about that. I'm still quite sure about my sayings, but the only way to be really sure is by asking dev or someone like him. I haven't found any patern yet on the stars apperance, and I assume this is a bug, just like crimsson said.

You crazy *******s
It's just a bug
If you had my mad observing skills you'd see that whenever other people ahve stars they're usually close to you in alphabetical order...
Playing as H3liCat, the people who get stars are usually G's, F's, I's, etc.,
But this is Westwood's least worries, you always know who you are anyways...
Especially since those *******s have no name change
