the rifle would win cause ramjet has to get close to use his proton pills HAHAHA..Ok serious now.
The normal rifle is less powerfull then the ramjet and you have to get a head shot to kill someone, but you can get off like two clips or more before anyone knows where you are.
The Ramjet can kill someone with one shot anywhere, but 2 shots and your cover is blown.
I killed alot of people and helped destroy a mobile artilary when I was well hidden and I only had to move when I ran out of ammo.

Sorry about the confusion, but I had to post fast cause I had to go away for a while  .
Now what i'm trying to say is which one do you prefer, I like the rifle a lot better and use it more often, in fact I think I have only used the ramjet in a couple of games, I save the money for somthing like a PIC.

I like the ramjet better for a few reason, the main one is because I can kill buggies/humvee's and artilery/mrls really quickly.

Easy. rifle for "offence" sniping, where you have to stay hidden. Ramjet for "defensive" sniping, cause they take out art and mlrt easily and you do not need to use stealth

I do like the ramjet for it's advanced power against lightly armored vehicles, but the rifle does good enough damage at it's low cost. I like the ramjet because you get different skins for the character.

Flamethrower and a lot of strafing. It's really hard to get a headshot when there's a wall of flames in front of your target. Doesn't help very well against the $1000 characters though.

Rocket soldier missiles.
There is nothing more offputing when you're sniping than seeing the shell coming towards you and trying to hurry, take of the scope and run-by which time it has probably hit you.

I'm with Aki, find out where they are and sneak in with Mr. Shotty to make their day. People never see it coming because they're too busy zooming in on non-moving targets most of the time. Meanwhile, you get fatty points for killing a 500/1000 credit unit at no cost to yourself. In case you all didn't know, the shotgun man owns. He's the best free unit in the game when it comes to pure fragging power, and he's great for those small maps with no defenses like Walls or Volcano. I had 43 kills in one game the other night on Volcano because I kept running over, planting my C4, and killing anyone who came to defuse it. I also was the MVP, and that's all I did.

echo on the shotgun... sucks in the open but great if your enemy doesn't see you. Also the Chain black hand is way underestimated, rate of fire..aim for head on slow moving or stationary targets is leathal. Also cuts mammy like butter

Chain BlackHand is one of my favorite units... Chews through everything and doesnt cost that much... Just wish they carried more ammo...

grenadier should be good, if the gren explodes next to u, as a potential sniper, u r unable to aim! completly! but most time I am the sniper... and im doing good...

Stealth Black Hands are great for that sort of thing. On Under especially. If Nod is Losing (and you're on Nod, duh  ) Get a Black Hand and sneak out the tunnels, find a Sniper who isn't paying attention and take 'em down, retreat, disappear, repeat as necessary. Oh, and its also great for stealing people's tanks when they hop out to repair it themselves.
