Don't you really hate all of those people that will buy anything but engineer upgrades. The only thing that ****es me off more than people who don't repair is people that stand right next to you while you repair and tell you that you aren't doing it right.

kinda like if you wax a car for a friend and he has the nerve to say "uh, you missed a spot!" lol... but you're right. it's annoying when engies are standing around and won't repair you. obviously they're not team players...

I see that when a building comes under attack that almost everyone switches to an engie to go and fix it, leaving about 2 people left to take out 2 flame tanks. I agree you need engies to keep the building up but to many just lets the tanks have a feild day. There is also the opposite effect where everyone try's to nail the tanks with greneadiers and the flame tanks drop a building in seconds.

I REALLY hate it when engies bugger off after a few seconds of work and try to attack the base rambo style leaving you to repair alone.
Some don't even change their character or they do after they get enough money, meanwhile your side is losing cause the tanks that you have as your only defence are being blown to pieces of smoldering metal, then they have the nerve to say that WE play bad.
I swear if I meet one of these people in real life I'm gonna rip their arms off, stick them up their ass and say "try to repair that!!"

What I really hate is people who like to tell other people to play defense or damage control and think that They alone rule the game and should be the hero. I love it when some hotty or tech destroys a perfectly placed c4 job or runs away just as my armer starts to decrease. I also really like being blamed when you fail to save a building while half of the enemy team is trying to destroy it. Another thing that kinda gets irratating is when half the team bails just because we're losing. (that one really helps turn the tide)

Yep --- engies are good at repairing -- when they can. Usually they get sniped out in the battle line - because the heros are to busy shelling buildings than trying to take out snipers... such is the life of a tank repairer. I appriciate it when the drivers are engies - if their ride blows - they repair their wingman.... till they die... then when they die - they take over repair and let others go be heros.... But i hate it when the "tank heros" are out there screaming for repair -and asking for engie support out on the line.
and when your buildings start taking damage (you know - by the stuff that got pass them) - they start saying - "You NOOBS dont know how to repair?" seems to me -- they can use a gizmo too... oh yeah - not enough points..... silly me...  [ April 15, 2002: Message edited by: StoneRook ]

Yes too many people who don't know how to repair u wanna know why cause half the people don't know how or are newbies and its not they're fault. I still see Engineers on the enemy team heal me with they're Repair gun then when they are done I shoot them in the head with my Sniper Rifle

well i was hotwire an hourglass, and two ammoth tanks and a meduim tank were what i was babysitting. i just couldn't repair them fast enough.
but the fun thing was, we deceided to give up, and just as the mammoth tanks got back into base [we racked up a LOT of cash shelling the nod base] a FT rush appeared over the crest of the ridge. they didn't make it to the AGT.

I know the feeling of being the lone tank defense while the engees are all doing thier own thing off sitting in a building waiting for a tank to come along and shoot the building so that they can repair them. I also hate it, like u said, when the engees are sitting right next to the MCT and they dont see the C4 on the thing or they just shoot at the wall trying to repair the building instead of the MCT.

Well... I can I say. I'm also the HotWire/ Technician in ma team but my place is outhere in the trenches. Repairing damaged tanks, disable c4 and mines, deploying c4's in "kamikaze like" attacks on enemy tanks ( or if I'm lucky on enemy camo troops or infanteers) and so on. Such engees are tank's drivers worst nightmare because ... you see him runing toward your vehicle with his bomb and U can't take him out fast enough. The splash damage of the remote c4 is considerable! If you use your imagination and trying to be unpredictable while playing a Hotwire character , you can develop a really offensive style. Still ussually you get people screaming: "Get your ass here, pronto!' and "Where is the **** engie !?", "Go to the base!" and of course "Assist me!!"

How is this for stupid - I was playing on a no guardtower/oblesk map as GDI and our weapons factory was destroyed. A flame tank comes over and tries to rack up points. Being a mobius, I start zapping away (the flame tank has realized this and started flaming me - I was standing inside the sandbag area of the barracks). Anyway, its almost dead and so am I. Thankfully, I see several hotwires closing in. But of course they would repair the FLAME TANK and let me die. Bah.
