once again i set the pw for a game this afternoon, and once again only a handfull showed up. the server is open play at present, but i'm going to set the pw at 7pm central tonight. i would really like to see a good turnout. i think some of you see there is only a few playing so you don't join in. i would encourage all players with the pw to join the game. it's like trying to get a fire started with no matches. you just have to keep working at it till it catches. yes, there have been only a few playing while passworded so far, but if people start to see that it's catching on, then more will join. if we ever get to a point where the server is full most of the time, don't despair. stonerook has 2 servers available with t1 connections. my hope is to eventually move the group to his server for smoother and larger games and use mine as the overflow server. anyway, please join us. we need your help getting the ball rolling on this! thanks!! zukkov

good deal powerhouse! looking forward to seeing you on the server. i notice your sig says team tactic specialist. that makes me think of something. i'd like to try having say 2 minutes at the beginning of the game where players for each side could discuss strategies for the game. that means there would be a moritorium on doing anything except chat for the first 2 minutes. i could post a message of the day for players just joining so they would know what to expect. what do you guys think about that? let me know...

Well, me and my clanmembers usually use a 30 sec to make up a plan at the beginning of each game... The idea of a two minute session is really great, and I love it!!!! The only problem is that this could prevent some early free soldier rush (after 2 min, already 240 +if harvey back 300) And other tactics I use REALLY early in the game. Maybe a single minute would be great though... We can usually set whos offence, whos defence and the first attack plan in one minute...and while we gather the money, we can precise all the stuff. but I think we should give it a try. the more the team is organised, the faster the plan is setted. But definitly, let's give it a try, and ajust things as they goes! If someone could create a mod preventing all movement, buying and cash increase for a certain amount of time at the beginning of the game, that would be exactly what we need!

Enforced 2 minutes for tactics -- i like it -- since this server is for team tactics -- gives you a chance to organize....
and since we are the dreamers of the dream -we can do about anything we want....
count me in....

But take into consideration that for example on Mesa the AGT will automatically begin firing on the Nod harvester - giving Nod a small advantage in points (because of the repairs). If anyone cannot open/read email from zukkov, just hit "Reply" and his text will be quoted and readable (if you have your emailer set to include received text". Works for me  International dateline is against me, but will try and drop in when I see you. Have fun.

where is this forum server exactly played and what time do you guys play during the week, i work till midnight!

there's no set time, but the server is usually pw'd from around 6pm til around 8 if there's not enough people to join in. after that i take the pw off for open gaming. on weekends i'll set the pw up around 2pm till whenever the players start to leave. so far we haven't had enough participation to keep the pw up most week nights. i would really like to see more joining in. hopefully we'll start to see that soon...

I like the 2 minute rule Zukk...sounds like a great idea. We'll have to try it next week (first week of may I'll be on vacation AT HOME for a whole week!!!!)
Anyway, the few games I was able to play with you guys this weekend were great. Thanks alot.
We need to rope more folks into this server......
