ok i was a stelth i placed myself right next to the war factory and a mammy starts comming out i go up press e nothing happends and the thing runs me over what gives? this has happened with other vehicle now YES i am a n00b as you call it but how come i can't steal it? i have seen others do it.

Well I have been told that only the buyer can get in the tank when It comes out the strip/fac so this might go for enemys as well... BUT many times I have bought a flame tank (I know its mine because I always check my credits so see if they changed) and as I get out side I see that someone else on my team has taken the tank thinking it is theirs...

There is a 30 second hold on entering the tank.. except for the owner.. the only way to get around it is..
1. Kill the owner
2. The owner jumps in.. then back out. I've had this happen to me atleast twice... I had to search the forum to find this answer.

You sure? I could swear that I've also seen people take enemy vehicles just as they come. Also the reason why the topic starter got squished might be that he was moving towards the tank while it was moving or that the owner got in while he was trying to take it.

Are you sure it is 30 seconds? I spend alot of time out side the enemys Wep Fac/Strip when our Wep Fac/Strip has been destoryed an I'm sure that 1/2 the tanks I steal are fresh out the Wep Fac/Strip but I could be wrong because I have seen people dump there tank when they dont wat them out side (sometimes they use F2 to say Free tank a Wep Fac, but buy that point it is all ready mine  )

heres a tip: when targeting a vehicle you KNOW you can enter it for sure if 3 arrows are pointing down in it.

It's 30 seconds. I was playing a game and I could see to the Nod base with a sniper rifle. A vehicle appeared, but nobody claimed it right away. After 30 seconds the 3 arrows appeared on top.

Something like that has happened to me too except a bit different. I just join a game, I go to PT and press the action key....nothing happens. I found out that I had to die first, then I could buy. Thats happened numerous times. What is it? [ May 13, 2002: Message edited by: xChRiSx ]

the only time you can enter a tank is if when you come close to it it has 3 arrows pointing at it and if there is neither a NOD (yeas aircraftkiller that was for you) nor a gdi symbol on it. ( unless you are on the same team as the driver then you can be a passenger)

There is a way to get around the 30 second lock-out. You need to hold down ctrl and alt keys then press The E, Z, L,& 2 keys at the exact same time. This unlocks new enemy vehicles and allows for safe entry. Happy Stealing!!

It's just a minor bug, just get yourself killed (only suicide if you already have no cash what so ever). Usually Tiberium or fight enemies with whatever weapon you have (or used your timed c4)

LOL didn't think of that.. but then again I'm usually too busy trying to stay alive to notice if it had arrows over it.. all I saw was a fresh new tank being created.
