ever try it on light vehicles? It seems to be almost better than the basic rifle on humvees and buggies...I never noticed it until a few days ago, when I had just finished planting c4 in the HoN. I noted that the hummer I had left outside had been taken(big surprise), and was waiting ever so patiently for me. What did I do? I took a potshot at it, just for the heck of it(I figured I would be dead soon anyway). I was surprised at how much one clip did! One pistol clip's worth of ammo took a bar of health off the humvee! I reloaded and started jumping around, shooting it again and again...less than a dozen clips later(this was one bad driver/gunner...never shot me or ran over me, just tried to run away...into a wall), the vehicle blew up! Any other hidden abilities of this overlooked sidearm?

You would be SURPRISED. Thanks to a Misplaced Remote C4 - I was left with a one red Hp bar on a PP. I thought - WHAT THE HELL - and took out my pistol. Despite the words - Nod Power Plany Under attack being EVAed SEVERAL Times - I took it down.

No, we wouldn't. You were shooting the MCT.

The pistol has be under rated so its under used. Before leaving base I always load my pistol no matter what character I have. 3 rounds in the head and your target is dead. Doesn't matter whether they are free or 1000 credit characters. It works wonders on aircraft too.

I just wish it came pre-loaded from the factory so to speak. It's bothersome that you have to click up one on the scroll mouse to load it. In close range against characters with slow rate of fire and slow reload (like Havoc)it works real well.

Me, too. No matter what character i am, i always load my pistol in the EXTEMELY rare occasion that i run out of ammo for my other weapons. I have seen Hotwires and Tech pull out their pistol when they come under attack, only to load it immediatly when they do so (get it out..). They die for this. Remember, folks; LOAD YOUR PISTOLS!

I enjoy taking snipers, armor Sydney, (any one with slow reload time) "to school"! I'm not the best shot with the pistol, but with a little patience and a lot of dodging you can earn lots of points killing these high dollar people with a lowly engie.

well, a hummer has 300 health total(health and armor), a mammoth has 1200...it takes a clip per bar on the hummer, so four clips per bar on a mammoth. Do the math, factor in the autoheal rate...it's doable, but not preferrable. Better to have a weapon like a railgun or laser CG for that job.

I like to scare the hell out of morons who have sniper units. They like to get me PO'ed and sit there as snipers. I sneak up behind them, and shoot the wall in front of them, casing a bullet hole in their feild of vision. They run, break cover, spin, shoot, or something to attract MUCH unwanted attention. They then get killed, and I hide until the enemy goes away, and kill them from behind. Nice way to get rid of n00bs.

It's a great way to pick out the n00bs...if you kill them with a pistol, they almost always scream "CHEATER! HACKER!! THAT GUN CAN'T KILL STUFF THAT FAST!"
The pistol is a cool medium range sniper weapon, if you can aim good enough...it can fire much faster than a sniper rifle, makes no sound, doesn't screw with your field of vision like a scope does...and it never runs out of ammo. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
