I had an idea.... We know that there 'were' some other official maps because their terrains exist on the presets list...
However, if they are on the preset list, then they must have been made to a state where they could be put into the LevelEditor and into the game!
Its my belief that these maps DO exist, but were pulled because they were slightly unfinished, or were unbalanced and they didnt have enough time to redesign the maps accordingly...
There must be some gmax evidence of them, maybe we can pester greg for what they got and finish them ourselves... then we have a semi-decent semi-offical map that would be of nearby officla map quality and most likely worthy of being added in an offical patch!
