This really is interesting, especially if someone stupid is in the mammy. THis happened to me, but ff was on and there were 2 stupid mammys. I ran between them a fired one shot. One mammy fired and missed, hitting the other mammy. Before i know it, they're slugging it out and i'm sitting there watching in my stealth with a bucket of popcorn!!!

Stealth tanks should ALWAYS own mammoths. If you get smoked in a stealth by a mammy.........
Well, you are definately a newbie. (Not n00b)

Stealth tanks DON'T always own a mammoth tank.
If you have two good players slugging it out with each other, than half the time one will win and half the time the other.
Terrain plays a large part in it.

Mammoths have their uses. They can put up a constant barrage of fire, for a start, and and their missiles have nice splash damage. They can also be fire magnets, attracting attention while infantry and smaller vehicles get thier jobs done. The problem is, people buy them because they look big and mean and forget to actually drive them. If you use cover, check for stealths, have an engy around to repair etc, then they can smash anything in their way.
But yes, mammoth vs stealth does come down to the skill of the driver.

Playing on Island last night, we took out the Barracks, they got the Hand. GDI kept throwing up Mammoths and we in the stealth tanks kept taking them out. The key to the Stealth tank is to flank you target. Come up behind them and get 3-4 shots off before they know wha thit them. Hit and Run is a good tactic for stealths, patience also works.
Don't try to engage in face to face combat in you stealth tank because more often then not you'll lose.

I think thats the other way around, as long as the mammy has turret lock on the stealth will be iced in no time.

methinks it has to do with the situation, but I choose stealth, cause you got speed and smart players can dodge the mammys shots.

On Field, it's nice to use the faraway bridges to get behind GDI tanks, and attack once the GDI tanks are attacked by someone else. That way, they won't notice the extra damage you're doing.
