Ok people i just wanna what kinda players there are out there, so wich attack tactic do you prefer using a long range undetected sniper tactic, or a close quarters gung-ho charge with teh biggest gun you can get your hands on. Now you can choose to answer with a comination of these tactics or let me know what others are used, this is pure curiosity here. my prefered tactic is a mix and also depends on the current situation...... (to be continued) [Cool] [Razz]

Well, on Field I can't resist getting a Havoc, switching to 3rd person and going into the tunnels, while on City I stay on "my" side of the bridge, shooting down Orca's [Smile]

Well, I gave up playing for points a long time ago when I found out how boring it can get.

I'm now a full time sniper. Therefore in larger game (Clan FUD SERVER) I am always a sniper unless I absolutely require a vehicle, or have clan cooperation to **** the other team.

But 3/4 times I am indeed a Havoc, but Deadeye and BHS both have their advantages [Smile]
Since teh FUD is also weap spawning, Nothing beats a Havoc with the standard Sniper Rifle [Wink]

I personally prefer to snipe, which is what I mainly do. But it all depends on what is most needed, if my team is owning (and sometimes if they are not) I will just snipe, but if need be I will also tank rush, engi rush, etc.

I prefer to counter-snipe of snipe hunt with cheaper units in large games. An SBH will ruin the day of a havoc right quick

Long range sniping is where the skilled player focuses his attention. If you can hit them across the field, they will never get close enough to do ghey, tunnel wars battle. All tunnel wars are, is a close combat infantry battle with big guns.

I couldn't help it. **** n00bs think shooting someone the back of the head with the biggest gun out there is sniping. Just think of it as a public service announcement. See you.

I am a dedicated Black Hand sniper. i say sakura/havoc r way overrated. who needs more firepower when you can get a nice clean hedshot from a distance. you dont need their extra power, cuz if ur a good sniper, like me, u dont miss. [Big Grin]

I agree, if you are a good sniper you don't need the extra fire power becasue both weapons will make your enemy wish he/she was never born if you get a head shot. Plus, the added speed of the standard sniper rifle is nice. Did I mention they cost less? [Wink]

I still play for points.....except..im starting to feel the same way Javaxcx does, and will do whatever semms fun at the moment. On the sniper issue, I agree, a havok who gets taken out by a cheaper sniper usually gets quite upset. [Smile] However Havok is MUCH more effective against a ma/mrls.

Most of the time I settle for low firepower: I'm an 80\% engy. "The skilled player" isn't only your friendly neighbourhood sniper (or any other pure offensive unit), but the little helpers on the battlefield who keep you alive... Except you recieved a head shot, that is.

Remember, the plural version of Orca is "Orcas", not "Orca's".

"sigh" It's becoming hard to snipe long range. The fact is most people do just charge anymore and take the whole (Sniper feel) out of it. I much prefer long range. Also I never touch a ramjet when in a snipe only game which I feel is not a sniper rifle in any sense other then the scope [Mad] . You see I'm a strong beliver in the fact that snipers should go for the head not use a 2 shot kill crap ramjet. [Frown] The only thing I may ever use a ramjet for is taking down an orca/mrl/arty. [Razz]

I like being a 500 credit sniper, some reason i get more luck and skill with him. Anyone else think 500 credit sniper is good? I usually get head shots with the 500 credit one [Big Grin]

I almost always use the 500 sniper, I'm much better with him.
