I have been gone from Renegade for several months, and upon my return I have taken to using WSAD controls for movement, rather than my SIDEWINDER (which I still use during gameplay sometimes).
I will not use WSAD when flying, however, because of my propensity to accidentally press the E key.
Which controls do you prefer?

To turn this into another spam posting about me....... I have decided to post here....... and just say that You are a N00B........ and you suck..... and I am great.......
I hope this will generate alot of spam stuff......... oh yes and how about going to a tree and africa and swinging from it...... you pre-homosapian..... there that should generate some stuff about me being a white-suprem..... something or other....

With the arrows, you cannot advance diagonally, can you?
C4Kitty has always been rude and unpallatable in the chat rooms on WOL and here. I don't know why the community puts up with her or people like her. Lately, she just annoyed me with her spamming of the PROXY C4 thread today. Sorry if I sound too acidic, Kiwi. I am usually quite passive.

check it Giz, i used to use the arrow keys, but then i switched to WADS becuase of the MANY MORE KEY BINDS WHICH CAN EASILY BE ACCESSED(E is right there amd i set Q as my beacon select button). and u can move foward diagonaly, since i have a 5 button mouse i set one of my mouse button binds as "ATL" or "ALT+Q" whatever it is to strafe in an aircraft

I always used WASD, I just find it easier. As far as flying goes, WASD can also be used to strafe, i thinks its left alt or left control or something. YEAH, I hate that Frekin' E key, i just mapped it to a less easily pushed button.

i found a good way to remap your keys but ya have to remap A LOT of them
these are on the keypad
fwd 8
bck 2
straif left 4
straif right 6
reload enter
jump 7
crouch 9
prev weapon num lock
next weapon /
and to open the purchase terminal +
they work for me though it help to have room to move your keyboard to get comfy ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

The Real Gizbotvas
I've alwaysed user WSAD for controls but instead
of using E for "Use" I use shift. I also opted to put C4 as 1 and my pistol as F. I find this works very well for my. Q & E are turn right and left. I need to get a new mouse my "pads" are worn down - this makes movement jerky and requires more effort.

I don't know what WSAD is? I just use the keyboard and trackball and it works fine. Never had troubles with the arrangment of keys.
Proud member of "CnC Renegades" Elite players! Now if only I could play online, then I could contact Van of the VSC clan. I bet he's been wondering why I haven't been online.

You know, I have not tried a joystick, but I was thinking about it.
remapping the E key is probably a great idea I will employ.

dont worry about it giz, she does it to everyone... and the only funny thing is - its that she cant back her words up.
