You need to work together good because else you lose the game, the best strategy is:
GDI: score some points and buy an apc and hotwire, and try to destroy the obelisk with timed C4 and remote C4. Then head back to your base and buy a tank and refill weapons, now destroy the rest of the buildings, if the tank's destroyed go into a building and place more C4.
NOD: score points and buy an APC with a chem warrior (this is good vs troops), go to the guard tower and place a timed C4, and shoot on the master control terminal till it is destroyed, now go back to your base and buy a flame tank + technician, now destroy the rest of the buildings.
